How kids can help?
GV Naidu Trust uses your generous and hard - earned donation to quickly deliver help and hope. Please remember: GET PERMISSION from your parents, principal or teacher BEFORE you begin your efforts.

You could also send a letter or card to the children who will eventually receive your donation. The children will be thrilled to receive a nice note or pretty picture that you made.

Help a child who has no hope.
Literacy, self-reliance and the elimination of poverty are a few of the areas that GV Naidu Trust promotes in order to advance the status of rural families and help them improve their quality of life. Childhood should be a happy time spent playing with friends, enjoying a favorite toy - even planning for the first day of school. But children in rural villages spend most of their childhood struggling to survive, without much hope for a secure, productive life.
You have the power to provide water, food, education, health care, faith, and community to a child otherwise condemned to a life of poverty. You have the power to provide hope!
Here are the key areas we wish to improve:
Education
Education is empowering. It strengthens individuals, families and communities. We believe that working to improve education is one of the best investments. we can make in the effort to overcome poverty. Because education has such a profound impact on both a child's and a society's future, we have made it a priority for the entire organization. We seek to improve the quality and accessibility of basic education - helping individuals and communities reach their full potential.
Making the transition to secondary school is especially difficult for girls. They may be under social pressure to take on added household responsibilities, marry, or avoid public exposure. In addition, families may be unwilling or unable to afford the higher costs of secondary education. Helping out of school youth - both girls and boys - find their way back to school strengthens their integration into society, offering them another chance at a healthier, more productive adult life. The quality of their education may make the difference between going on to college or making a meager living as a street vendor.
Health
School-age children are most susceptible to worm infestation and nutritional deficiencies including iron, iodine and vitamin A deficiencies. Further, stunting or not reaching one’s full height potential occurs in more than 50 percent of school - age children. Healthier and better nourished children stay in school longer, attend more regularly, learn more and become healthier and more productive adults.
Our goal is to support school feeding programs and provide iron, vitamin A, iodine, and multivitamin supplementation and fortification. We wish to provide immunizations and deworming treatments to fight intestinal parasites, and provide dental and first aid kits to schools. We also need to help schools provide treatment of common diseases in addition to screening for vision and hearing impairments and to address these conditions when identified. We also need to work closely with schools and their communities to dig wells, build latrines and provide safe drinking water. Our community schools need to better educate students about how they can change their behavior to improve their health and nutrition.
